PERFORMANCE OPPORTUNITIES

Our soirees provide performance opportunities for serious adult pianists. In addition we schedule masterclasses, lectures, workshops and festivals for adult amateur pianists of all levels.

INTERNATIONAL COMPETITION

Every two years we organize the Boston International Piano Competition, an event that draws accomplished pianists from around the world to perform in a four-day long celebration of classical music.

COMMUNITY OUTREACH

We promote Boston as a center for amateur pianistic excellence, to enrich its cultural life and our competition and festivals aim to interest and educate the public in classical music and piano playing.

Performance Opportunities

Our soirees allow our members to performance for a live audience in a friendly and informal setting that concludes in a social hour. We also schedule periodic themed events, based on a composer, duo piano playing or peer reviews. Members have the opportunity to perform in a more formal setting at our piano festival and masterclass. Click on EVENTS in the toolbar for the soiree schedule.

Competition

The Boston International Piano Competition brings together pianists from all over the world. It features a concurrent Piano Festival, masterclasses, jury feedback opportunities, a Piano Marathon, and two receptions. To be eligible the contestant has to be an amateur pianist aged 30 and over. Community Outreach

Our Festivals, Piano Competition, Winner and Benefit Recitals are promoted to and attended by the general public. We are a 501c3 non-profit organization and our dues support the piano competition. In addition, many of our members perform in the community, at assisted living facilities and churches, as well as other venues.
